Draft pending a production cookie scan. The browser storage used by the current product is described below. Company details, contact information, jurisdiction-specific consent rules, retention periods, and effective date still require legal review.

1. Current storage

Cite N Seek uses local storage to remember a browser visitor identifier, the one free check, the selected website, checkout-attempt information, private report access, and your cookie choice. If local storage is unavailable, same-tab session storage may hold the private report key. These technologies are needed for abuse prevention, checkout continuity, and reopening a result.

Stripe may set strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies on its hosted checkout pages. Optional Google and Meta measurement stays off until you choose the relevant category.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website can place on a device. Similar technologies, such as local storage or tracking pixels, may perform related functions. They can keep a site working, remember choices, measure site use, or support marketing.

3. Categories currently used

Strictly necessary

Browser storage supports consent records, rate limiting, one-free-check enforcement, checkout continuity, and private report access. Stripe controls technologies used on its checkout domain.

Preferences

The selected website and active result are remembered in the browser so the customer can continue the same flow.

Analytics

With permission, Google Tag Manager delivers Google Analytics 4 page and product-step events. If no GTM container is configured, the site may use the configured GA4 tag directly. This category is not loaded before consent.

Ad measurement

With permission, Meta Pixel and consent-scoped Meta Conversions API events measure ad performance. Browser and server events share an event identifier to prevent duplicate counting. Global Privacy Control keeps this category disabled.

4. Your controls

The first visit starts at essential-only. Use the persistent Cookie settings button to allow, refuse, or later withdraw optional categories. The consent record lasts up to 180 days unless it is cleared or replaced. Withdrawing consent stops new optional events and removes recognized Google and Meta cookies from this site.

You can also clear or block site storage in browser settings. Doing so may remove the saved free result, reset checkout continuity, or permanently remove that browser’s private report access key. The Privacy Choices page also opens the same cookie settings.

5. Decisions still open

  • Production cookie scan after each measurement container is published
  • Final Google and Meta retention settings
  • Jurisdiction-specific consent language
  • Company identity, contact email, and effective date
